In partnership with George Washington University Occupational Therapy, Spectrum Sailing conducted a mixed-methods study exploring the impact of inclusive sailing on social-emotional development in autistic youth. Results showed consistent perceived gains in confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, independence, and friendship skills, supported by both caregiver and youth feedback (Tober, 2025). These findings highlight how meaningful, community-based programs like Spectrum Sailing can create lasting impact for families and serve as a model for inclusive, evidence-based recreation.
