A Toledo Tradition on the Water!
Spectrum Sailing returned to Toledo for our fourth year, continuing a partnership that has become an essential part of our summer season. Each year, the North Cape Yacht Club community goes above and beyond to welcome our sailors and families, raise support, and create a camp experience that feels truly special.
This year, our Toledo sailors stood out for how quickly they became a team. They encouraged each other in the classroom and were always ready to take on their roles on the boats. Throughout camp, they learned knots, practiced steering, communicated with their crews, and grew more comfortable and independent on the water.
We are proud to recognize Meijer as presenting sponsor of our Toledo camp. Their support helped make it possible to provide this experience at no cost to participating families and bring another year of inclusive sailing to the Toledo community.
We are also grateful to Safe Kids Greater Toledo and ProMedica Toledo Hospital for helping provide life jackets for our sailors. Their support helped ensure every participant had the equipment needed to learn, explore, and enjoy their time on the water safely.
Toledo continues to show what can happen when an entire community comes together around inclusion. Thank you to North Cape Yacht Club, our volunteers, supporters, and families for making another unforgettable camp possible!

The North Cape Yacht Club welcomed Spectrum Sailing back to Toledo this June and once again helped create a memorable experience for all of our sailors. Club members and volunteers from the community brought patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement to every session, giving participants the space to learn new skills, connect with their crews, and grow more comfortable on the water.
North Cape Yacht Club continues to go above and beyond by fundraising, organizing special events, and rallying its community around our mission. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing partnership and commitment to making inclusive sailing an annual opportunity in Toledo!

Spectrum Sailing creates opportunities for autistic youth to experience sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through hands-on learning designed to support each participant’s success, sailors build confidence, develop new skills, and form meaningful connections with peers.
