Expanding Opportunities on the Water in Sarasota
Spectrum Sailing returned to Sarasota this September for three wonderful days on the water! Our sailors spent the weekend learning new skills, building confidence, and enjoying time together as a crew.
This year’s Sarasota camp was especially exciting. We partnered with The Haven, a local organization serving adults with autism, to expand the Spectrum Sailing experience to a group of adult sailors. It was an excellent opportunity to continue growing our programming and create more ways for individuals of all ages to experience sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment.
We are incredibly grateful to the coaches, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make the weekend possible. A special thank you to Sarasota County Fire Rescue and Safe Kids Suncoast for providing our sailors with free life jackets to take home, helping make sure they can continue to stay safe around the water long after camp ends.
Three days of camp always flies by, but we love watching both our youth and adult sailors take on new challenges, make connections, and experience everything sailing has to offer!
