The 2026 Season is Officially Underway!
Spectrum Sailing officially launched the 2026 season in Newport Beach, California, welcoming local autistic youth ready to get out on the water and learn to sail.
The camp brought a few extra challenges as sailors faced rainy weather throughout the week, but the weather didn’t dampen their spirits. Our sailors showed incredible perseverance, bringing positive attitudes and a willingness to try something new.
For many of our sailors, this was their first experience on a boat, making each moment on the water a new and exciting accomplishment. Mr. Scott shared how impressed he was with the sailors’ determination and excitement to learn, even in the rain!
We are grateful to our hosts at the OCC School of Sailing & Seamanship, as well as the many instructors and volunteers who gave their time and energy to support our sailors throughout the week.
We would like to thank Suncoast Financial & Insurance for their continued support of Spectrum Sailing Newport Beach. We also extend a special thank you to the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation, our newest partner, for recognizing the need for inclusive recreation and for visiting camp to see the program in action. We are excited about this partnership and the opportunities it will continue to create!
Newport Beach was a fantastic start to the 2026 season, and we look forward to returning again next year!

Support Spectrum Sailing
Spectrum Sailing creates opportunities for autistic youth to experience sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through hands-on learning designed to support each participant’s success, sailors build confidence, develop new skills, and form meaningful connections with peers.
Because our camps are offered completely free for families, community support plays an essential role in making these experiences possible.
