Creating New Opportunities in Holland
Spectrum Sailing returned to Holland this August for another great few days on the water! Camp was filled with plenty of smiles, new skills, growing confidence, and those small moments that show just how much can happen in a few days.
One of the highlights of the weekend was partnering with Benjamin’s Hope to welcome a group of adult sailors to camp. One of the things we love most about the Spectrum Sailing curriculum is that it is not limited to serving youth. The same approach of meeting each sailor where they are, providing meaningful support, and encouraging independence can be used for sailors of different ages and abilities. Holland gave us another opportunity to put that into practice, and it was incredible to see our adult sailors learning and enjoying their time on the water.
We are also incredibly grateful to our Market Presenting Sponsor, Meijer, for helping make the Holland camp possible. Their team showed up throughout the weekend to support our sailors, cheer them on, and see the program in action. We are so thankful for their continued investment in creating more inclusive opportunities throughout the Midwest.
A huge thank you to our sailing coaches, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make another Holland camp such a memorable one. We loved every minute on the water and are grateful to everyone who helped bring the weekend together.

Thank You, Macatawa Bay Junior Association!
A huge thank you to MBJA Sailing for once again welcoming Spectrum Sailing to Holland! Since 1982, MBJA has helped generations of sailors in the Holland community get on the water, offering sailing opportunities for everyone from young beginners through adults. We are grateful to partner with an organization that shares our belief that sailing can be a lifelong opportunity and for everything their team did to help make camp such a great experience for our sailors.

Support Spectrum Sailing
Spectrum Sailing creates opportunities for autistic youth to experience sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through hands-on learning designed to support each participant’s success, sailors build confidence, develop new skills, and form meaningful connections with peers.
Because our camps are offered completely free for families, community support plays an essential role in making these experiences possible.
