Fort Worth Joins the Fleet!

Spectrum Sailing was proud to launch a new Texas camp location in Fort Worth, bringing our program to a new community of autistic youth and families.

As a new location, Fort Worth had the energy of a first-year camp in the best way. Sailors arrived ready to learn and the Fort Worth Boat Club community showed up in the best way. Everyone helped create an encouraging environment where sailors could build comfort on the boats and find their confidence one step at a time. Even with a little Texas weather keeping us flexible, the spirit of camp stayed strong!

We are also grateful to Mr. Peter Kinney from the U.S. SailGP Team for meeting with our sailors on Sunday! He shared stories from his experiences in professional sailing and answered questions from our sailors about racing, teamwork, and life on the water. It was a special moment for our sailors to hear that the same things they were learning on the water in Fort Worth are also important on a world stage.

Another highlight was a burgee swap with Mr. Rob Karov, past Vice Commodore of Fort Worth Boat Club — a fun tradition that helped officially welcome Spectrum Sailing into the Fort Worth sailing community.

Fort Worth welcomed Spectrum Sailing with open arms, and we are excited to see where this new partnership takes us next!

Thank You to the Fort Worth Boat Club for hosting Spectrum Sailing Fort Worth 2026!

The Fort Worth Boat Club welcomed Spectrum Sailing for our first camp in North Texas and helped create a smooth, supportive experience for our participants. Members of the FWBC brought patience, energy, and encouragement to each session, giving sailors the space to try something new and build confidence at their own pace.

As a club with deep roots in the Fort Worth sailing community, FWBC was the right partner to help launch this new location. We are grateful for their hospitality and excited to continue building inclusive sailing opportunities together.

Support Spectrum Sailing

Spectrum Sailing creates opportunities for autistic youth to experience sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through hands-on learning designed to support each participant’s success, sailors build confidence, develop new skills, and form meaningful connections with peers.

Because our camps are offered completely free for families, community support plays an essential role in making these experiences possible.
