It was all positive!!! Our sailor has a lot of anxiety, and he never once had any reservations about going to camp. He looked forward to it each day. The staff were so energetic and friendly, making him feel at ease. I feel the camp gave him confidence and a sense of pride. I know that he felt he had gained some independence participating in the camp as well. Our sailor is learning about Autism and how it may affect himself and others. I feel the camp gave him an opportunity to recognize his strengths as well as the strengths or others.

Blew! Us! Away! When we saw the photos of the kids out on the water, how far out they went and surrounded by so many other boats, with the Chicago skyline in the background, we couldn’t believe it. Chicago is a gorgeous city, but most Chicagoans will NEVER get to see the view that my child was able to see from the water and he understood what an honor it was. It was an honor to be able to take part in this program. We are so lucky to have found the incredible people at Spectrum Sailing! A once in a lifetime experience and core memory!
